Balfour Gore is an independent chanter of reggae-oriented chants that are always positive and are always about love, spiriatuality and social injusticies with the ultimate view of hoping to inspire humanity to live our best selves. Currently there are 9 chants/songs released and are available on Youtube, Spotify, Chazam, Apple Music, Amazon and other platforms. The Chants are aentitled, and listed in order of oldest to newest releases, Covid Times, Bless, Foundation, Keep On Keeping ON, Love Chant, Jah Love, Love Revolution, Rasta Love and Evil Regime. I am currently working on three chants that will be released in the next 1 to 2 months entiltled Squaddie, Seeds Of Love and Mother Earth. My aim is to continue developing and releasing chants to the puplic with the hope that these chants are not only accepted by the globe of people but also that these chants make a positive impact in all of our lives indivually and collectively.
Balfour Gore was born in Kingnston, Jamaica, April 1st, 1969 and was a law-enforcent officer there for 17 plus years before relocating to the U.S in 2006. Jamaica is were Balfour developed his love for music/reggae ofcourse influenced by reggae stalwarts such as the late great Bob Marley, Denis Brown among many others, inparticular dancehall artistes such as Nijaman, Supercat, Buju Banton and many more. Balfour music career started while in school, doing small concerts and while even as police officer doing performing at community and shcool concerts. The highlight of his music career thus far is the use of the Dub Poetry Art form to do Dub poems such as “one hand can’t clapp and “what is a gun fi a man a get glue pon” in front students within the school commuties in Western Jamaica , this being a part of the Community Policing Initiative, which he was once incharge of.
Balfour Gore is also currently a practicing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of Delaware and has been in the nursing profession since 2010. In addition He currently serves as an officer in the United States Army Reserve and has been doing so since 2017.
